by the door at six o’clock. Some of them have gone ahead, and the house
still has the shape they left behind.
This is a life-size pet portrait of one of them. Shaped from your own
photographs and finished by hand, until the piece standing in your room is
close enough to how they were that you find yourself reaching for them.
It begins with your photos. The front view, the side view, the quiet ones —
how they held their head, how they carried their ears, how the tail rested
while they slept. From those we build the form. Then the work turns to hand:
the coat laid in fibre by fibre, the eyes painted one at a time, the
markings matched to the ones you still see when you close your eyes.
One portrait for one companion. Made once, and only for your family. There
is no second copy, and there never will be.
Around 4–6 weeks from your photos to your door, shipped worldwide. Before it
leaves the studio you will see it photographed from every angle — and
nothing ships until you have looked at it and said yes.
This listing is the 50% deposit. The full price is $1,888 — you pay $944 to
begin, and the remaining $944 once you have approved the finished piece.
